Life is a Highway - it’s the journey, not the destination

out and about

went out to visit some friends of the family today which was nice. Had some interesting discussion with Marcus about how a thermometer works (sorry HE is distinctly lacking isn’t it?), we stuck it by the fire and then outside to see the differences. Marcus inherited some model cars so he was chuffed to bits. Of course Alex had to have something too (their words not hers!) so she came back with some soft toys - like I need any more junk in this house?

Drove back via a barn in Rotherham that I fancy as a possible venue for a possible wedding next year (Barbara - don’t even start ok?? ;) ) and took the number for James to ring it up. Looks very nice :)

Have slobbed for the rest of the day though, kids now playing the playstation and I might just fall asleep somewhere!!

  1. Me?? Start?? But..but..but… you can’t say things like that in places you know I might see! You know with enough booze next week, I’m going to find it *very* hard not to canvass other people’s feelings about my rather splendid idea.

  3. from Barbara (trying for you since spaminator keeps killing it)

You mean you told him about it? :)

Okay, okay, grumble, grumble, *shuffles off with tail between legs mumbling something about not risking friendship* ;)

  5. Hi Kirsty, I’ve had a comment on my blog from Kris re Sean Bean. I’d mentioned trying out some long-lasting lipstick on him, just to check it works, as you do.
Kris commented that you’d better not see my comment. Do I take it that you are a teeny bit smitten by Mr Bean too?

  7. Did you see him in Clarissa as Lovelace? Ooohh….I go weak at the knees just thinking about it.
And in Goldeneye, Lady Chatterley’s lover, Troy…..the list is endless. The best one though is ‘When Saturday comes’ and the bath scene. The pause/still button on my remote nearly broke!! ;-)

  8. Don’t get her started on ‘When Saturday Comes’, Emma. She figured out last week that she could do screen captures from the DVD player on her computer (and did me some nice Russell Crowe ones) but that was the day after she’d sent ‘When Saturday Comes’ back to the DVD rental place. She’s kicking herself! You can imagine which scenes she wanted to capture…

  9. Lol Kris!
DH is supposed to be buying me a laptop in the January sales and only mentioned yesterday whether I wanted one with a DVD player/recorder on it. I must remember to say that I do and have a little play!
