Settling in
but not feeling like we’re doing very much atm tbh. I’m itching to go to local groups and get involved in stuff but atm I just don’t have the available funds. Cash flow for at least the next 2 weeks is tight. Hopefully after that we’ll be a bit better. Unless of course my OU grant comes in, which it should soon, then I should be able to breath a bit easier!!
Wanted to go swimming as part of an HE meet on Wednesday but just couldn’t do it due to funds. Shall try again in 2 weeks time. There’s a HE group next Friday which I *might* get to and one next Wednesday which I’ll not
Bah humbug to money!! have a few contacts of people fairly local so tryin gto follow those up too.
Kids are really enjoying the garden and have spent a good part of this afternoon out in it. I think they’ve spent more hours outdoors here this winter than all summer back in Conisbrough!! Was lovely watching them out the window today climbing trees and exploring.
We started some jobs for pocket money this week too which has gone well. Well actually Marcus has whinged through most of it, but nothing much new there eh? He liked getting some money today
Tomorrow we’re off out watching my brother play rugby and think then to the rugby club to watch some more rugby. Hope weather is ok anyway for the morning!
Really feel like I need to get my head round what I want to be achieving HE wise. Otherwise I’ll have everyone on my b ack about sending kids to school I know it. I know I should just tell them to sod off but you know how it is
Must sort out the playroom and make it an actual playroom and not a dump!!

Don’t let anyone tell you what to do, Kirsty! I’m sure the kids have learnt more than you can tell through the whole experience of moving and you all just need a bit of time to settle down. Climbing trees and exploring sounds like a great education too
Have fun at the rugby (yawn!).

sounds great to climb trees and play [though not for me!] and the money will come - as long as no new car!!]
I took a few lovely photos of marcus at Melrose - he played so gently and beautifully with BB
