some of you may know
that we were sueing the Alliance and Leicester recently. Basically lots of info here - we were reclaiming unfair penalty charges from overdrafts and unpaid direct debits etc. The total amount came to just over £900. They didn’t give it back straight away so we filed our small court claim and this morning we received a cheque for the total amount plus interest plus our court fee so a total of over £1100 this morning!!! Really happy - charges have been on of the reasons my financial state was so bad - of course not the *only* reason, but it really didn’t help. We’ll now be able to pay off our overdraft and the gas bill!! Plus have some to spare. And then we’ll get started on my account!

I was only wondering yesterday how you were getting on with that. Fantastic news Kirsty

Nice one! I have a half drafted letter here for considerably less but still worth claiming. Now I know it really does work I’ll be printing it off and sending it in.
