Life is a Highway - it’s the journey, not the destination

update

well not quite a big update as I can’t hugely be bothered to write much. Internet still poorly but have my brother on the case tomorrow so fingers crossed it will be done soon.

James is having a crap time at work still. Looks like his job might not be there in a couple of weeks so we’re a bit shaky wondering what might happen. Lots of cv writing going to be going on and contacting recruitment agencies. Bleurgh. Does mean aswell that we’ll not be doing 2 of our proposed days out to legoland and to France (supposed to be mine and James’s birthday treat). Suppose they might still happen, but seems daft to assume the best atm :( All pretty crap.

I’ve been hugely down lately too, dunno why, although suspect it’s just pmt. I should keep a proper diary of when I feel crap. I’m sure it will be monthly. just more bleurgh.

Kids also been pretty awful. Attitude is generally crap and driving me up the wall. Bleurgh.

Maybe I’ll do a blog of the better stuff when the kids have gone to bed. I’m sure I can think of some stuff!!

Helllllooooooo!

Anyone out there?? :( Feeling all neglected. But hi to Nikki, must catch up soon (my most used phrase lately I fear).

Internet not back. Borrowing my mums laptop. However I will share this piece of advice with you all:

when choosing a film to see for your birthday, actually think about the content of the potential film rather than just the lead actor. Much as I can spend aaaages watching Sean Bean esp with Sheffield accent, watching people literally getting the sh!t kicked out of them was a bit much for me (outlaw in case you were wondering). I am so daft sometimes.

Life a bit sh!t here, James had a big fight with one of his friends yesterday (physical) and is really down. Not sure it’s something that can be resolved. Off to give him a phone to drag him out of the pub :(

gone quiet

I’ve been a bit ill, nothing major, but the drama queen that I am meant that I’ve been grumpy with it ;) Can’t do anything other than sleep which isn’t so good.

Thursday, hmm what did we do that day? We walked down to the library which nearly killed my hands as the kids tok so many books out last time. Must take our little shopping trolley with us next time. Marcus got a Where’s Wally book, some books about bridges and ships and a maze book. Alex got a Barefoot book of horse stories I think, an Usborne fairy tales book and something else I can’t remember. We all had 3 books at one point and we aorked out that was 9 altogetehr, then Marcus decided he wanted one more and Alex had to get 1 more aswell so M then managed (without prompting this time) to come out with the fact that we had 11 altogether. Excellent, maths done for the day ;) Can’t remember what else happened, prob tidying and baking as seems to be the current theme.

T-bird Anni and Aprilia arrived early on Friday and the girls headed off fairly rapidly leaving the adults to talk, have tea (lots of it!), while Marcus hinted at being allowed to play the playstation. Was lovely to have visitors, our house isn’t well set up for it, being absolutely tiny! Watched Cars in the evening which was probably just as well as I had a vague idea of watching James Bond again. mmmmmm.

On Saturday I felt like I’d slept hardly at all, but must have still had a good amount. When A & A headed off home I went back to bed lol! But I am blaming it on the bleurghness that had started ;) Didn’t quite get any better that day and no sooner had I woke up then we had more visitors. James went out for the night so kids and I had a lateish evening watching dvds.

Sunday was awful. Just felt so crap. Had to go to the shops when they opened to get teabags and a present for our niece who was coming up. They had arrived by the time we’d got back, bleurgh. Was grumpy at the fact we get shouted at in their house for daring to look at their carpets with shoes on, while they were all over ours with theirs on. Not that I’m strict, but ya know, it;’s a rented house and we do need to look after it. I can only just tolerate SIL and her husband when I’m normal. When I’m grumpy, tired and feeling crap I’ve got no chance. So I stopped in the kitchen out of the way, probably offended them no end, but never mind. James took the kids out in the afternoon to give me some space which was so appreciated.

Today is still not 100%. Took me ages to drag myself up this morning. We did reading practice and read the Sir Cumference book. That was all I could muster. The kids spent the day in the garden though as it was so nice. I started washing the table outside and of course they had to take over. Wasn’t going to stop them really was I?? We did want to head over to the country park but they were being as grotty as I was and so I decided that for the sake of the rest of Sheffield, we’d be better on home ground. Alex came out with me to do food shopping in the evening and she was lovely. Ought to do it that way all the time, just swapping kids. Had a bath this eve and still feel crap, so going to go to bed soon.

Sorry, absolutely awful post, but at least I’ve blogged so I feel a bit better about that.
