Pottering
I’ve managed to lose the whole of June. Whoops.
I will have a holiday blog at some point I hope, we had a very nice time on the Isle of Wight, although we were hounded by quite a few crap events. All in all though it was good. Have lots of pics I need to sort.
Our car has kind of died. Which has meant that this week we haven’t been doing much. I’ve also been having a small self imposed limit on my computer time (aiming for 2 hours a day with it being switched on) so I’ve been doing lots of pottering around. I like pottering, it makes me feel happy. I’ve been out in the garden lots just sorting the few plants that are out there. I know I said I wouldn’t but my mum gave me a huge bag of compost and I do have lots of seeds so before we headed off on holiday we sowed some peas, lettuce, carrots and a few others. I get annoyed when I get really excited to grow stuff, spend money on seeds, pots, compost and then get nothing out of it. Which is the reason why I wasn’t going to grow anything. But if I keep to having not spent anything it might be worth a try.
We did find a frog yesterday in the garden which was a great source of delight. We have no pond and not sure who else has one and I’ve never seen a frog in my garden before. He was hiding under some old growbags in a corner. Lovely bit of impromptu nature spotting.
Not being doing much formal stuff, really kicking back a bit. The world Wars are still on the back burner and we do have some conversations about that when it comes up. Seems to have been lots going on so that I’m not worrying but not so much for me to blog.
Now hoping the car will be fixed (off to garage tomorrow) in time to do something for M’s birthday next week.
