It’s no good
I’ll never catch up. So behind on people’s blogs, twitter, e-mail. Just feeling a bit uninspired to even try and catch up. Sorry.
So will try to summarise the past month or so:
*Picking cherries
*Gardening - started growing a few bits
*M’s birthday - he’s 8!!! Almost outgrown muddlepuddle!!
*Sundown Adventureland - kids loved this even though I felt they’re close to outgrowing it. Nice to be proved wrong.
*Staying with friends. Huge thanks to Chris and Helen for putting up with us for a visit. Enjoyed the company loads even though M and BB were at loggerheads so much. Also while there we:
*had nice trip to the RSPB centre with pond dipping, owl pellets and moths to look at.
*Home Ed sports day. We’ve never had one of these near us (or not that I’ve known about) so was really pleased to be part of this one. Was great fun!
*Camping with friends - the best!
*Wicksteed park. V expensive, but kids all adored it there. Thanks to Nic and Ady for helping me out, it’s hard doing rides with 2 kids sometimes! Pics of kids on the rides make it worthwhile, they had such a great time.
*Festival of History. As fab as I expected. We did mostly WW1 and 2 stuff. A was a little moany, but think was tired. Shame we missed the 2nd day due to:
*Car died - arrrrrghhhh!! Lots of money to come home. Note to self - upgrade RAC cover. *sigh*
*quiet time at home
*Amazing reading girl. Still not sure how she processes and does it but she’s doing Oxford Reading tree level 5 almost effortlessly and has made a start on Ruby the Red fairy.
*Fairy madness. 37 books and one girl in heaven. Thanks Jax (and Sarah too I think!)
