Thanks everyone, will look into those. Just getting from the library at the moment as he never listens more than once so it's a bit expensive to keep buying.

I've just got Coraline from audible.co.uk (we have a 2 credit a month subscription) at the kids' request - will let you know if they enjoy it; I think it is going to be scary!

The Water Horse book is really different (much better) than the film.

Books we have enjoyed here are the Harrys (which is what started her audio book obsession) and Roald Dahl's Four Favourite Stories (although they are abridged which I didn't realise when I got it, he reads them himself though which Aprilia thought was pretty cool for some reason) and Stories 4 Cool Kids which is a short story collection. We had one of the Unfortunate Events out from the libraray a while ago too, very dramatically read but no good for bedtimes!

We had months and months of The Hobbit and LOTR here with Violet - how anyone can go to sleep to the sound of orcs in battle, I don't know. And the Iron Man we had out of the library so long I could have bought it at least twice over with the fine.

Ernest likes Ordinary Jack (apparently these Bagthorpe stories are well-known!) and loves The War Diaries of Alistair Fury. Atm he and Buttercup are back to Stormbreaker again :)

There's a CD of spy or detective stories by Terry Deary that we've had form the library a few times - that goes down well :)

thanks - he listened to a load of those a year or so ago. Not sure if he rated them which is why they weren't in the first list! He's listened to loads really but isn't all that helpful on what he likes and dislikes!
